Soundrop is slashing its prices: charging $0.99 per track for cover song distribution, down from $9.99 before.
“It’s not a one-size-fits-all market now. There are all these subsets of markets and different types of creatives out there — and their needs are changing constantly. We’re changing with them,” said president Joel Andrew.
Ever since its reinvention as a distributor, Soundrop has made and other social creators key targets as clients, including helping them to license and release the cover songs that have been such a big part of the platforms they’re using.
