The Coin is a one-off collaboration between Nigerian rappers Phlow, and Alpha Ojini (who is also an excellent producer) with producer/DJ Teck-Zilla.
The track makes use of a classic soul sample and thick trap drums bridging the gap between the old and new, while Alpha and Phlow flex their verbal muscles on naysayers and detractors, who never have anything positive to say. As they put it, there are always two sides to every story.
The track was actually recorded pre-covid and was supposed to be on Phlow’s shelved Pre Flux project, but the track is so dope we just had to let the rest of the world hear it.
