Mr Hood is an eccentric rapper from Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Like the average Nigerian creative, Mr Hood’s music is inspired by happenings in his immediate environment, He’s of riverine descent, having grown up in the creeks, hence the nitty gritty lyrics & storytelling raps. Result of happenings in his immediate environment.
His new release, Never Know gives the listener an insight into the harsh realities of an average riverine youth, their struggles in the creeks, the hunt for a better life, the necessary evils associated with growing up there, and the survival instincts one has to adopt in order to make it out of that harsh reality.
This record is a follow-up to Mangrove Poetry, his first release April 2023.
