Decentralised music service Audius is up to something new and interesting with artists, called ‘Audius Agency’. It will pair musicians with developers and engineers to “build custom stand-alone, open-source products on top of the Audius protocol… a team of dedicated builders who work alongside you to craft a distinctive, fully customised music experience that embodies your artistic vision”.
“Imagine a personalised ‘music passport’ that unlocks exclusive tracks, merch, or content as fans engage with your work, or an immersive music hub where radio-style playlists fuse with social features for real-time interaction, or even a music crowdsourcing platform that empowers artists to fund and launch groundbreaking projects…” are some suggested methods Audius suggests exploit
Audius hired Jesse Grushack, a web3 music veteran, to lead the new division. His past companies include Ujo, ConsenSys and Six·xyz – the latter of which brokered the famous $4m sale of a Wu-Tang Clan album NFT.
