The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Championship Play-Off will be a little more exciting this year, thanks to the addition of musical performances by Mohbad and Brymo. Both popular Nigerian artists will perform on Friday, June 9 and Sunday, June 11, respectively, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
The musical performances are part of a new initiative by NPFL to add more entertainment value to the Championship Play-Off.
“We believe that a mix of music and football is good for the building of the NPFL brand,” said Nelson Ine, Executive Director at GTI Investment, a financial investment partner to the NPFL Interim Management Committee (IMC). “By tapping into the appeal of music to our huge youth population, we hope to attract more fans to the Championship Play-Off.”
Tickets for the musical performances are now on sale. Tickets for the VIP extension are ₦2,000, while tickets for the popular terraces are ₦1,000.
The Championship Play-Off continues on Wednesday, June 7, with fixtures between Remo Stars and Sunshine Stars, Enyimba and Bendel Insurance, as well as Rivers United versus Lobi Stars.
