TikTok will be rolling out new safety features for its teenage (13-17 year-olds) users in the coming months.
The features include teens choosing who can watch their videos; the default setting for the direct message is ‘no one’, videos of under 16 teens can’t be downloaded and 16-17 year-olds can choose who can download their videos.
The social media company will also stop push notifications to teenage users (13-15 year-olds) after 9 pm, and 10 pm for 16-17 year-olds.
