TikTok partnered with music licensing firms in order to help brands create and use their own licensed music on its platform.
The partnership will provide licensing for custom sounds – The Elements Music, KARM, MassiveMusic – and ‘subscription sound’ – Songtradr, Epidemic, UnitedMasters – ‘subscription sound’ to brands. The latter will charge brands for the use of the music provided for use.
According to TikTok “brands can use music and sound to show a different side of their personality and share their message in a completely new way.”
