Temi Adeniji has been appointed to the roles of Managing Director of Warner Music South Africa, and Senior Vice President (SVP), Strategy, Warner Music Sub-Saharan Africa. She is to assume these roles later in September 2021.
Adeniji has been involved in Warner‘s expansion move in Africa since 2016. She worked with Perez-Soto to help develop the publishing giant’s image in Africa through licensing and distribution deals, and partnerships with regional labels – Chocolate City -, distributors, and Digital Streaming Platforms (DSP) – Boomplay and Audiomack – across the continent.
“Africa stands on the precipice of a significant growth story, and I’m excited to play an important part in guiding our company’s strategy and operations in this region.” She continued “I have worked closely with our South African team over the past few years, so the opportunity to help steer the next stage of their journey is an honour and privilege.”
Joining Warner Music in 2016 as Director, International Strategy & Operations, and was promoted to VP in 2019 and SVP last year. Adeniji will now take over from Tracy Fraser in September 2021.
