The latest rumour about Apple’s AR headset launch is by Ming-Chi Kuo (an analyst at TF International Securities); quoting him his note to clients (reported by MacRumors);
“We predict that Apple’s AR headset to be launched in 4Q22 will be equipped with two processors. The higher-end processor will have similar computing power as the M1 for Mac, whereas the lower-end processor will be in charge of sensor-related computing.”
The headset equipped with a Mac computer’s processing power doubles as a VR and is envisioned to replace – paraphrasing MacRumors – “the iPhone within ten years”, is rumoured to make its debut to consumers innate 2022.
