Yaweh, a Cape Town-based rapper and producer born in Benin City, makes music with a combination of Trap Soul, Rap and Drill influenced by West African rhythms, which he incorporates into his music.
His new single Lagos City is a fusion of UK drill music and Afrobeat melodies from the rapper. He raps about the toughness of the street of Lagos, the resilience to make it out, and the everyday life of the average Lagosian in search of their daily bread.
Yaweh hopes Lagos City inspire young hustlers to keep pushing and always be on the grind.
