Apple’s Shazam rolled out a tech that now identifies tracks in DJ mixes in other for all royalties to go to the rights holders of each track in the DJ’s mix.
Apple Music has been working with major and independent record labels, DJs, mix suppliers at festivals, clubs, and other promoters towards the development of this new mix identification process.
The DJ mix category page on Apple Music is home to thousands of mixes. These mixes have been streamed over 300 million times by over 3 million active monthly subscribers; triple the number of active subscribers 12 months ago.
