AIRBIT RELEASES YOUTUBE ROYALTIES DATA

Airbit is a beats marketplace where producers can put their beat up for sale for aspiring musicians and other use.

The firm has collected $2.5m generated from YouTube in the first half of 2021. This is a great improvement from the 2020s $1.8m.

The revenue was made from a total of 4bn views of videos that used Airbit’s producers’ beats. Airbit mentions that it functions as a rights holder with YouTube, by creating Content ID system to track beats usage.

“YouTube is a beats search engine, and producers need to make sure their work is monetized there, where billions of views are happening,” said COO Judah Wiedre.

YouTube royalties are just one part of the company’s focus though. “We’re on target to earn around $10 million dollars this year for producers from publishing and ContentID alone,” said Wiedre.
