Instagram is a key platform for many artists, and a partnership with Merchbar, an online merch platform, will now help artists improve sales on their merchandise sales during tours, album launch roll-out, and brand partnerships. Over 4,300 artists will now have the ability to tag their merch (product tag) on their Instagram posts, stories, live, and reels.
This partnership can help improve revenue for artists and also include Merchbar as a standard roll-out plan, by using online merchandise sales platforms, in the stead of retailers. Artists can control production quantity and avoid potential waste and loss from the overproduction of merchandise when using retailers.
Merchbar says this feature is currently available to about 3.5% of its current clientele.
